Who are we? We are an informal network of enthusiastic public health professionals with shared learning experiences through participation in the VPHTS. We value the open and trusting collegial relationships and friendships formed though this experience, and want to maintain these relationships as we continue our respective career paths across a broad range of organisations in the public health sector. What do we do? We facilitate networking amongst VPHTS alumni, through electronic communication and at least two informal gatherings per year We welcome and provide informal support for new VPHTS fellows, many of whom are joining public health practice from a diverse range of backgrounds We celebrate the achievements of VPHTS alumni through our communication network We share our experiences with prospective VPHTS applicants at a minimum of one information night per year We aim to support and improve the visibility of the VPHTS, to ensure that other professionals who are passionate about improving public health may also have access to the “opportunity of a lifetime” through the VPHTS
