The Victorian Public Health Training Scheme offers an exciting opportunity for five aspiring health professionals every year.
The Victorian Public Health Training Scheme (VPHTS) is an initiative of the Public Health Branch of the Department of Human Services and academically accredited by Monash University. Medical graduates who utilise the VPHTS program as part of their Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine training program find that it is highly regarded in contributing to an individual's accredited "advanced" training (The Royal Australasian College of Physicians).

The VPHTS aims to build the capacity and expertise of the public health workforce by providing advanced training and supervised fieldwork placements for health professionals from a variety of professional disciplines.
In 2005, VPHTS received the Award for the Best Education and Training Collaboration from the Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training.
