Beef and tomato patties

Ingredients

  • 500 g lean beef, (or lamb) finely minced
    2 tablespoons tomato paste
    1 teaspoon seeded mustard
    1/2 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
    1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    2 tablespoons olive oil, for frying

Cooking method

    1. Blend all ingredients in the food processor until smooth.
    2. Shape mixture into round patties, about 4-5cm in diameter.
    3. Heat oil in frypan and cook patties for approximately 3 - 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown in colour.

Notes: If you are preparing food for people on a gluten-free diet, always check the ingredients on all food labels, especially any prepared items like sauces.
